For many types of work in the markets we serve making good products and delivering them on time is not enough. In today’s world, cybersecurity has become an integral component for projects sponsored and run by United States Government agencies like the Department of Defense (DOD) and NASA.
Precision Honeycomb is committed to being on the front lines of the cybersecurity battlefield.
Cybersecurity is a complex topic with many facets that can be a challenge for organizations to manage. We have partnered with a professional, internet services-cybersecurity firm to help us manage this function on an ongoing basis.
As the US Department of Defense prepares to roll out Cybersecurity Maturity Model
Certification 2.0 (CMMC 2.0), current best practices call for us to remain compliant with
NIST SP 800-171.
CMMC is a program intended to assure that companies working on certain DOD
contracts have a system in place for properly handling Unclassified Controlled
Information (UCI).
CMMC 2.0 will have 3 levels of compliance rating as opposed to 5 levels found in the
original version of CMMC. Precision Honeycomb will slot in at level 2 in support of our
customers working on CMMC stipulated contracts.
